ROSSE POINTE PARK, Mich — Police said a man walked into St. Clare of Montefalco Catholic Church Monday and robbed an elderly nun at gunpoint.The 74-year-old nun was locking up the church when the man approached her from behind, pointed the gun at her and demanded money, police said.

The nun was not carrying any money, but the man patted her down to make sure, police said. He then ordered her to go to the church bathroom while he fled, police said.Police and neighbors are said St. Clare of Montefalco has been a cornerstone of the neighborhood since 1927.The community is posting images of the suspected gunman all over the neighborhood, hoping someone has information that would lead to an arrest.
